Black Bay
Government-held coastal site of about 180 acres at Black Bay, Vieux Fort, with roughly 6,000 ft of Caribbean frontage, 15 minutes from Hewanorra International Airport.
Key terms
The opportunity
The largest site in the Invest Saint Lucia portfolio: about 180 acres on the south-west coast at Black Bay, Vieux Fort, with some 6,000 ft of frontage on the Caribbean Sea and the Pitons within reach along the coast.
The agency markets it for a master development — the scheme discussed publicly has comprised a branded luxury hotel and villas, a small marina and an equestrian centre — but the site is offered as land, not as a scheme with consents in place. Treat the published concept as an indication of what the government would welcome rather than as an approved masterplan.
Position is the asset here. Hewanorra International Airport and the Vieux Fort seaport are about fifteen minutes away, and the airport is itself mid-redevelopment, which is the main reason the south of the island is being pushed.
